Round The Mountain Relay

Round The Mountain Relay

About 2 Saturdays ago my family, some others, and I woke up at 2:00 a.m. in the morning.

By 2:30 we were at the Pukekura Raceway, where the race began.

Oak, one of my older brothers ran the first leg.

About 6:00 a.m. some other friends showed up and ran for a while.  While they ran we went home for a little bit.

At home I slept (of course).

I ran the second to last leg.  It was about a 3ks.  I ran with Owen and Skler Elington, Gavin Bishop, And Ruby.

Oak ran the last leg.  But at the end our whole team ran across the finishing line.

Most of our team wore high colorful socks.

Our team was called BALD EAGLES because almost all of us are from America.

We didn't get a placing, but WE HAD FUN!

This is me with a creation I made with a straws and sellotape. I am quite proud of it.  It sounds like a glissando on the piano.  It can go high to low, or low to high.  The shorter the straw the higher the sound.  Pretty cool, A?

I made this one first.  But it is not robust enough.  After Isabelle and I thought and saw some other creations I made this.

Have a great day!  I'd love to hear your feedback.

Magnificent Maths Minds

Here Is A Maths Problem, Try To Solve It.

Once upon a time there was a big bag of candy.

In the bag of candy there were 25 lollipops.

1/5 of the bag was milk bottles

Another fifth of the bag was gummies.  And 2/5 of the bag was bananas.

How many bananas were there in all of the bag?
Comment your answer.

Piano

Piano

On Saturday for the first time I rehearsed with the orchestra for the concert I am going to play in on August the 31st.  I am going to play Beethoven's 1st concerto 3rd movement in C Major.  It was a 45 minute rehearsal.  We had time to play through it twice.  It was FUN!

Having A Substitute

This week we have had Mrs. Very has a substitute because Mrs. Cribb has been sick.  It has been very fun.  We have done a craft almost every day.  On Friday we made a holiday voucher for an imaginary holiday island,Monday we cut out parts of magazines and glued them to paper to make a robot, Tuesday we read the Sneetches and then coloured and cut out different machine parts and glued them on paper in any order to make our own machine, and on Wednesday I was home to practice the piano. It has been FUN!
