W.I.T. Questions
The first photo is the front page of our Wildly Important Task (all so known as W.I.T. or Te Ara Tika.)
The second photo is my first questions that I wrote about the front page with out help.

The second question is actually a stage 7. I marked it wrong.
I think I could work on having more variety with my questions.
I'd love to hear if there was any thing else you think I could work on or things I did well.

Best Fit Book
This is the book I am reading right now. It is called Grip of The Shadow Plague. It is a best fit book for me.
It is a best fit book for me because it is exciting and it has a lot of action in it.
This book is in the series 'Fablehaven'. It is the 3rd in the series. I think I will finish the rest of the series. It is hard for me to put it down!
It is about a boy about 11 years old (Seth)and his sister who is about 14 years old(Kendra). They learn about a magical wold with magical animals.
There is a group a people (The Society of The Evening Star) who want to get some special artifacts and release a demon prison which could mean the end of the world!
Kendra and Seth must protect the artifacts!
So far(in book #3):
Kendra is off to Lost Mesa (a secret perserve with a hidden artifact) planning on retrieving the artifact hidden there because they think The Society of Evening Star knows it is there.
Meanwhile Seth and his grandparents are at Fablehaven(another secret preserve.) And the light creatures are mysteriously turning dark!
Before they realize what is happening one of their friends staying with them is a shadow. Will Seth and Kendra be able to save the day?
I think this is a good book for girls and boys.
Bike Writing
I have used show not tell in my first paragraph. I want the reader to feel how excited I felt when they read this. Can you tell me if this is what you feel?
I'd love to hear what you think what I did well/what could I do better.

Quality Comments
At school we have been learning about quality comments.
Here is a comment that I posted on Sophie's blog.
Here is a comment that I posted on Sophie's blog.
- Hi Sophie, -greeting
- I like the tidy bullet points that you did in this post. -compliment
- I am all so working on floating on my back. - connection
- What do you think is easier about floating on your tummy than on you back? -question
- -Mercy -closing

I think it is a quality comment. I think it is a quality comment because it has a greeting, compliment, connection, question (to start a conversation), and a closing (your name so people know who wrote it.)
In quality comments you should not try to give away personal information. You should try to use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
I would like to see you post a quality comment in this blog.

Swimming Goals
This is me sculling feet first and in a sitting up position and me kicking off one wall and getting to the other.
In the pool I am working on:
Floating on my back-it is hard for me to hold up me tummy and my legs,
Sculling-I get tired if I stay in the same place with my hand up calling for help
I can already:
Push off one wall and get to the other no arms or kicking,
Breath while doing freestyle.

All About Me
I have 3 older brothers and 2 younger sisters. I like doing art, playing with my sisters, dancing, playing netball, swimming and playing piano.

I like the friends I have. And I am interested in making more friends.
I like the friends I have. And I am interested in making more friends.
When I am older I want to be a piano composer, piano teacher, and a mom.

One of my strengths is maths. One of my hard areas is Te Ara Tika. I need to work on sharing the computer when I'm working in pairs.
Curiosity= It would be good if I would be more curios in words I read that I don't know.
Open Mindeness=I think I am normally open minded.
Persistence= I need to be persistent if the technology is not cooperating.
Empathy= I need to let others have turns.
I love to learn about maths and art and new strategies that make learning faster(in any subject).
My teacher can help me by helping me learn new vocabulary.
In 2014 Te Ara Tika was sometimes hard to persist with.
One of my goals is to be a good year 6 leader.
My parents can help by teaching me at home and commenting on my work that I do at school.
As a learner I need to work on giving everyone a turn to think in Te Ara Tika.
